The CAGED system provides five interlocking shapes across the board for the same triad.
It is useful for generating a variety of shapes for any chord or arpeggio and opens up the entire board while doing so.
Once you have memorised the shapes then put them to work for helping you find melodic phrases.
In the video I suggested some ideas about how this could be done by decorating the triad with other notes from the mode or even Chromatic notes.
