TECHNIQUE 173: Rake, Strum, Alternate Pick & Hybrid
This exercise is designed to challenge your picking techniques in short order and to encourage team work to benefit from the differnet opportunities and strengths each has to offer.
The chord is static with a few mods to the melody and bass as the part proceeds.
Once done, drop into the Am chord Scale and try building a progression.
Why Am? The F that appears in bass invokes the E Phrygian mode (V in Am). See THEORY 1 , 2 and search for CHORD SCALES for examples.
